Everything is perfect on the surface;
As flat as far as the eye can see;
As clear as the cloudless sky up high,
While looking simply timeless to the average passer by.
But inside there are some secrets,
There are things that cannot heal.
Places you would not be want to be;
Emotions you will never feel.
The waters keep on rising, the tides are stronger still;
And If you listen carefully you can hear her desperate shrill.
Some say she’s simply crying, filling full of tears;
While Her trenches fill with anger, angst and fears.
The waves they won’t stop coming,
While there’s still a moon above.
Despite her slow destruction
she still seeks its endless love.
If we cannot love the ocean,
We will never help it’s plight.
For me the answers simple
As I have her in my sight.
Respect the life she gives us
And the treasures of the deep.
Do all you can to love her,
Let’s not make her weep.
Even if she’s calm on top
She might be trembling below;
Our love will make the difference
We simply have to let it show.
