He stood and he waited for the waters to rise
Watch the world crumble before his very eyes
Swallow the jokers he’d always despised
Wash away the troubles, the pain and the lies
It flowed through the fences and over the walls
This watery leveller come to take us all
No respecter of faith religion or creed
Promoted, enabled, empowered by our greed
There’s no where to run to
We’ve got no where to go
The mountains have crumbled
They’ve lost all their snow
Time had now come
Rivers breaking their banks
Nature was cleaning the system
She was refilling her tanks
His world it was ending in a watery grave
The mighty had fallen
The many and the brave
Soon the planet would be silent
Except for the sound of a continuous wave
